Brandon and Davie Davis opened up DayTrip, a ’70s-themed cocktail bar along the French Broad River in Asheville in August 2024. A month later, Hurricane Helene swept their dreams away.

This short documentary shares their story, from the early days of the disaster and the mutual aid they organized, to reconciling the media attention they received and lifting up the community that helped them come back.
