When is the deadline to register?

Voter registration ends October 9, 2026. If you miss the deadline, you can still register to vote on the same day if you participate in early voting.

When does early voting start? When does it end? Where can I vote early?

Early voting in NC starts Thursday, October 15, 2026 and ends at 3pm on Saturday, October 31, 2026. Find your early voting site here.

How do I vote absentee-by-mail?

Request a ballot by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. Find out how to request a ballot here. Return your ballot no later than November 3, 2026, at 7:30 p.m.
